Tate has served on 13 corporate and association boards across manufacturing, distribution, aerospace systems, and business services. His board work spans family-owned companies, private-equity-backed businesses, independent-sponsor environments, and privately held manufacturers with international operations.

Weiler Corporation — Helped establish board and committee charters, decision authorities, and governance/voting protocols as the company added non-family outside directors.

The Barton Group — Helped strengthen executive development, incentives, succession, and governance during a period in which the company roughly doubled in size.
